What is a math worksheet generator?

A math worksheet generator creates arithmetic practice questions and a matching answer key. This tool makes 5–50 whole-number problems for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or mixed practice, then exports the exact displayed set as a two-page A4 PDF.

How to use the math worksheet generator

  1. Choose an operation or select Mixed for a cycle through all four arithmetic operations.
  2. Set the largest operand from 2 to 100 and the question count from 5 to 50.
  3. Generate, review the question set and optionally reveal the answers on screen.
  4. Download the worksheet and answer PDF. Copy answer key provides a text version of the same numbered questions.

Try this workflow

Choose Addition, set Largest operand to 20 and Questions to 25. Generate a worksheet, preview answers if needed, and download the PDF. The first page has 25 questions; the second has answers to those same numbered questions.

Ways to use this tool

Extra arithmetic practice

Create a short set around an operation that a learner is already studying. Choose the number range based on their current work.

Classroom warm-ups

Generate a compact practice sheet and keep the separate answer page for checking. Repeated questions are possible.

Home practice

Print one worksheet at a time and review errors together using the matching key. The tool does not assess grade level or learning needs.

What the number range means

Largest operand bounds both numbers shown in each question. Addition and multiplication answers may exceed that value. Zero can appear as an operand.

Subtraction puts the larger operand first, so answers are never negative. Division chooses a nonzero divisor and a whole-number quotient, so answers have no remainder and the dividend stays within the chosen bound.

Mixed mode cycles through addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Operation counts differ by at most one. It is not a curriculum or a balanced sample of every possible arithmetic fact.

Questions are sampled independently and can repeat. This version does not generate fractions, decimals, algebra, word problems, timed tests or named grade-level curricula.

Keep and share your result

Exports use the current result without generating again. After editing inputs, generate a new result to apply the changes. Downloaded PDFs use high-resolution page images on A4 paper; they are printable but their text is not selectable. Use available copy or CSV options when you need editable text.

Your entered names, words, clues and tasks are processed in this browser. These tools do not upload them, put them in the URL, store them in browser storage or include them in analytics events. Refreshing or leaving the page discards the current result. General site analytics still run; see the privacy policy.

Math Worksheet Generator FAQs

Does the worksheet include an answer key?

Yes. PDF export contains a worksheet page followed by a separate answer page for the same questions. Show answers previews them without generating a new set.

Can I make addition-only worksheets?

Yes. Select Addition. Subtraction, multiplication, division and mixed arithmetic are also available.

Will division have remainders or divide by zero?

No. Divisors are at least one and every division question has a whole-number answer.

Why can an answer be larger than my selected number?

Largest operand limits the two input numbers, not their sum or product. For example, with a limit of 20, 20 + 20 has an answer of 40.

Can I change settings after generating?

Yes. The old worksheet remains visible with a notice until you generate again. Copy and PDF export continue to use that displayed worksheet.
