Terms of use.

Updated September 9, 2026

These terms describe use of the RandTools website. By using the site, you agree to use its tools lawfully and to review the results before relying on them.

The service

RandTools provides free random generators and sample-data tools without an account. Features and datasets may change. The service is provided as is, without a promise of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular task.

Generated results

You may use generated sample values in prototypes, tests, classroom activities and creative work. Fictional names, addresses, emails and phone numbers are not verified identities or contact details. They can resemble real people or places by coincidence. Do not contact a generated address, use a generated identity to impersonate someone, or submit sample data as a genuine record.

Names, brands and other references may involve third-party rights. A random selection does not give you rights to the referenced work. Check the relevant source before reproducing or distributing it.

Randomness and important decisions

Most ordinary selection tools use browser pseudorandomness. Some tools avoid immediate repeats or provide a no-duplicates option, so their interaction rules can differ from independent draws. They are not a certified lottery, audited raffle service or research sampling system. See the examples and randomness guide before choosing a tool.

Your inputs and privacy

Tool computations happen in your browser. The site still connects to hosting, fonts and analytics services. Copying, downloading or sharing a result is a separate action you choose. See the privacy policy.

Advertising and external links

Display advertising is not currently enabled. Any future advertisements or external links do not constitute a recommendation or guarantee about another service. Advertising disclosures and applicable consent choices will be updated before ads are enabled.
